WHY do CBS and ABC news have same reports?

Is it possable to watch CNN LIVE news without having Cable / DIrecTV / or DishNetwork ?

if you know of where how else, provide the direct LINK to the web SITE THANK YOU

I have 2 devices that record 2 different channals at the same time, and they had same subject, topics, reported same day!!! WHAT IS THE BIG IDEA ? I record in order to get different report from the 2 different channals!

I live in UTAH, Salt Lake City ZIp code 84117

Device 1 recorded CBS EVENING NEWS CHANNAL 2 5:30-6:00pm Moutain Time Zone

Device 2 recorded World News on ABC Channal 4 5:30-6:00 PM Moutain Time Zone

BElow you can see details about what reports were the same!

1)Both reported showing same individual Rancher, about ranches in Texas selling their cow on auction due to not enough grass to feed cows because of dry weather.

2) Both reported about Flooding going on around Mississippi river

3) Both reported about how agry Pakistan's Government is at our for not informing and attacking Bin London, How useful was Pakistan's assistance to us in past as currently in order to progress in Afganistan's mission, And How this may have damaged our relationship over all!Why do CBS and ABC News have same reports ? Where how else can I watch CNN live News w/o cable direcTV or DNW?
Pretty much the networks cover the same stories. One may get an occasional scoop, but for the most part they have camera crews all in the same location, covering the same scenes or the same talking heads. A good reporter will do some digging, but that seems to be pretty much a thing of the past. I used to work for a major network affiliate in New York city and the sharp reporters quite often would do a bit of digging on their own and come up with a different angle than the competition, However during the past few years this seems to be very rare. Partly it is because news department budgets have been drastically cut, and partly because the reporters just aren't as good. In the past many of the top reporters were former print journalists or were retired police detectives. Now they seem to be a bunch of pretty faces who just read handouts given to them.
