What do think when you hear Officials like Speaker Pelosi claim we live in a Democracy?

This was recently with a in your face interview photo opt with Wolf fuzz-face Blizer over the week-end on CNN! Bush has made these claims on how during his tenure he has been speading Democracy! I don't think either of them live our world!What do think when you hear Officials like Speaker Pelosi claim we live in a Democracy?
First of all, I don't care for Wolf whats his name anymore... he has proven himself to be no more than an entertainment reporter..secondly, in my opinion Bush saying he is spreading democracy is just hilarious.. I'm pretty sure he can't spell it and I doubt he knows what it is... and Pelosi, well, all I can say is that she has been a disappointment for all.

Generally what they are meaning a country where people get to vote, and there are elections etc.. not a dictator.

The specific government model is obviously not what they are talking about. well its obvious to me anyway.

I think I get your point. But the fact is Afghanistan and Iraq now have elections, notably ones where there is more than one person running.

Pelosi im sure is again referring to the general freedoms people have and, once again, not to the particular government model. At least I would hope so.
