I've been looking and just found this site which will be streaming the debate. They're going to have a focus group reacting to the debate and registering their reactions. I don't think they mean they'll talk over it, more like a graph or something. Its the best I've been able to find so far.

They use different subs at different times and there are several cameras. So you are just seeing something different. I don't know why you would use the term "messing". I doubt that setting proper video levels is high on the priority list. Also remember that the video could be adjust by the people providing it to the web. If any "messing" was going on I would suspect CNN first.
That has got to be the most boring show ever but I am willing to be it beats Larry King in the ratings. I agree with the first answer but it also does change occassionally as different slugs of stuff goes through.
