i will not watch such programs .

Those channels want to make some bucks, inciting one group of Indians against another group.

That is an issue to be discussed by eminent Indologists but not language chauvinists.

I will watch if the debate is between Indologist Dr Asko Parpola of Finland, Dr George Hart of the US and other linguists.Will you watch a live debate on Hindi -Tamil dispute in CNN IBN?

Umm... Is these any dispute? The only dispute is not allowing Hindi in govt. schools in TN by the state government. They think that this will be "imposition" of Hindi over Tamil. This is just a retard thinking. A little knowledge of Hindi will just help TN people to communicate with rest part of India.



These is no such dispute of Hindi with Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Manipuri or any other Indian language. But why only Tamil has dispute. It is because Karunanidhi and his party has beautifully used language card to come to the power in 1965 and to expel the then congress govt. After which congress never make any comeback to the power in that state.



These is no such dispute between me and a Tamil speaking guy in my neighbourhood. We both of them communicate in Hindi while we both don't speak Hindi when talking with family members.Will you watch a live debate on Hindi -Tamil dispute in CNN IBN?
Who will waste time on watching a Debate in TV - whatever language is it !

The whole day we spent under lot of professional pressure. So in evening when I reach I watch TV for relaxing and fot for any serious thought.



And for me any regional language is not important. Neither Hindi, not Tamil and not even Bengali (my mother tongue). We need to know English, as we need to work in English. None of the multinational company will offer me a job if I know Tamil or Hindi and not English.

actually there's no point in boasting about one's language. and it's utter shame to degrade another language, if that's what the hindi-dominated channels are doing over there.



no one has the right to criticize or look down at another people's language. but at the same time, what's the point in boasting about the status as well? are we gonna get any privilige as tamilians? for having a classical language as our mother tongue? well what's the use of the 'semmozhi' status when we couldnt even try and stop the genocide of our fellow people in a neighbouring country?



think about it. i dont give a damn about the semmozhi status. too bad i have to say this, but that's the reality. the classical language status or the classical tamil conference cant buy you a bowl of rice. shame but that's the truth.
Thanks to the news channels for not giving big importance to the Karunanidhi's selfish conference.
