Why are people saying Amanda Knox received an unfair trial due to media attention? CNN Live…..



One of her buddies is on CNN Live saying her friend didn’t receive a fair trial due to media attention, and the media being focused in on her personal life. Where does Amanda’s friend live? Does she live in a fantasy world? Here in America, people watch trials for the media frenzy and follow trials for the dirty details of defendants. Why do people assume just because you are an American on trial in a foreign country you must be innocent and it wasn’t fair. They can’t blame the Italian media when the American media can be 100% worse. Now, I am not saying I agree with some of the Italian judicial practices, but I can’t believe an American has the nerve to say the Italian media is “wrong” for being interested in Knox’s dirty details. Americans live on dirty details in our trials.Why are people saying Amanda Knox received an unfair trial due to media attention? CNN Live…..?
I agree 100%! The hypocrisy is disgusting. I'm an American who thinks she got exactly what she deserves. In fact, I wish the sentence was higher. There's no doubt in my mind that she's guilty and belongs in prison. I hope she likes it in Italy because she won't be leaving anytime soon.
Italian judial system is highly flawed and corrupt. They don't believe in guilty beyond reasonable doubt. I am very disturbed with the way they did this trial. If Amanda was tried in American court, she would have been acquited. I hope American government should do something to help Amanda.



It is hard to get a fair trial in foreign country due to language problem and culture differences. Also, I think people in other countries think that American kids are spoilt brats.Why are people saying Amanda Knox received an unfair trial due to media attention? CNN Live…..?

Italian judial system higly corrupt? And what about American one? I want only to remember you the "Cavalese cable-car disaster" happened in 1998. Twenty European people were killed by an American miltitary plane in Italy. No one of the pilots was found guilty.Why are people saying Amanda Knox received an unfair trial due to media attention? Americans in general don't accept an American being convicted of a crime in a foreign country. They don't mind if foreigners are prosecuted here. It is a double standard. They want to blame everyone except the accused and convicted person. Americans don't like control being taken away from them, yet it is strange that someone did not pay the Italians off, like we do. I think a big part of this prosecution was the anger at the U.S. The Italians, like most people, do not like what the U.S. did by starting these wars and dragging everyone else in and perpetuating these operations.
