Could I pay a fee to get live cable access on my laptop?

I am often out of reach of my television, but would like to keep current with news broadcasts. But I do not want to watch after the fact clips from network websites...I already do that. Is there some way to "subscribe" to a cable provider (like CNN or FoxNews) in order to be able to view what they are broadcasting in REAL time?Could I pay a fee to get live cable access on my laptop?
Do you have fast Internet?
