I am more stunned that Biden admitted the final date was one that was negotiated by the Bush administration. Finally, a Democrat admits that Obama did not change the final date, like all the libs claimed here on Y!A.
You are right, it is an interesting ceremony, though clearly, like last night's speech from Obama, it's more for the Iraqis than for us so that they see that are are living up to our original agreement. It is to show that we did not go in to steal their oil and rule over them forever, as many said.Why can you only see the LIVE Iraq ceremony right now on CNN %26amp; MSNBC? Not Fox News? It's kinda historic ?
Beats me. Especially given the fact that it is specifically because of Republican efforts against incredible Democrat opposition through out that we're able to have that 'ceremony'.
If Obama and the Democrats had had their way, we'd have been having a surrender ceremony about 3 years ago. Thank you, President Bush for bringing this war to an end and freedom to a nation for the first time in history. Quite an accomplishment.
