How do you get CNN International or BBC World to basic cable in the US?

I live in Eastern PA outside Allentown and I have Blue Ridge Cable. It's quite absurd that virtually everyone else in the world gets channels like CNN/I, BBC World, France 24, and Euronews as standard channels with their cable/satellite dish subscriptions while we don't. I'm sick to death of the domestic news and would like to know what's going on internationally.

If they're not available on cable, what other means are there? Any help is much appreciated! How do you get CNN International or BBC World to basic cable in the US?
Although not a complete solution , may I suggest that you watch Digital Broadcast TV from your local PBS affiliate (Allentown,Pa)

Digital TV channel 34.1 , between the hours of 4- 6pm when Euromaxx (German) Journal (German), EuroNews , and BBC Now is televised locally.

If your TV doesn't have a digital tuner you might think about picking up a converter box that will allow reception of Digital TV using your old standard TV sets, and if you're not to far from the station transmitting you'll be able to pick up this channel with simple rabbit ear antennas.

Other options would be getting a FTA Free To Air Satellite dish for reception of unencrypted TV stations like Russia Today or Press TV (Iran) , Al Jazeera TV (English) , a few more interesting News channels that cover world events , and also some public access channel that also may carry BBC News for a couple of the daily time slots.

FTA can be inexpensive and alot of fun especially if you're frugal , pay for the equipment and install yourself , enjoy years of television without monthly fees.
